How to connect to PioNet network

iOS

  1. Go to Settings > WiFi 
  2. Select the PioNet network 
  3. Enter your LC credentials (do not include @lclark.edu) 
  4. Trust the lc-clearpass-01.lclark.edu certificate 
  5. You are now connected to the PioNet WiFi network

 

Android

  1. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > WiFi settings 
  2. Select PioNet from the list of available networks 
  3. Enter your LC credentials (do not include @lclark.edu) 
  4. CA certificate: Use system certificates 
  5. Domain: lclark.edu 
  6. Ensure the “Anonymous Identity” field is blank 
  7. Select Connect 
  8. You are now connected to the PioNet WiFi network

 

Android (Legacy)*

  1. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > WiFi settings 
  2. Select PioNet from the list of available networks 
  3. For the CA certificate, choose “Do not validate” 
  4. Enter your LC credentials (do not include @lclark.edu) 
  5. You are now connected to the PioNet WiFi network

Windows 10+

  1. Click the WiFi icon in the Taskbar 
  2. Select PioNet from the list of networks 
  3. Confirm that you want to connect by clicking on Connect 
  4. Enter your LC credentials (do not include @lclark.edu) 
  5. You are now connected to the PioNet WiFi network

 

macOS

  1. Click on the WiFi icon in the menu bar 
  2. Select PioNet from the list of available networks 
  3. Enter your LC credentials (do not include @lclark.edu) 
  4. Continue if you get a certificate warning 
  5. Enter your computer’s administrator password if prompted 
  6. You may need to repeat these steps a few times 
  7. You are now connected to the PioNet WiFi network

 

Ubuntu Linux

  1. Add a New Wi-Fi Connection

    • Click on the “Add” button to create a new Wi-Fi connection 
    • Enter the SSID PioNet 
  2. Configure Security Settings

    • Go to the “Wi-Fi Security” tab. 
    • Set the “Security” to “WPA & WPA2 Enterprise” 
    • Choose “PEAP” from the Security menu 
    • Enter your identity (username) and password. 
    • Click “Save” to apply the settings 
  3. Connect to the Network

    • Select PioNet from the network list and connect

When connected to PioNet-Guest and PioNet, your device will have access to the internet. If you require access to other internal LC resources, please use GlobalProtect.
