West Academic requires an extra layer of authentication to access materials. In addition to logging in through our L&C proxy, West Academic requires users to sign in or create an account on the West Academic site. This account is a personal account that allows you to take notes and highlight sections of the content on the site, and to mark favorites and view recently accessed titles.
If it's been a while since you've accessed a West Academic title, you may see the following error message:
Your access to Study Aids Subscription has expired because it has been a long time since you signed in to Study Aids Subscription at the same time you were on the Lewis & Clark Law School network. To turn access back on, sign in to this site using <lclark.edu email> and your password while connected to the Lewis & Clark Law School network or its proxy server.
West Academic will send an email to your lclark.edu address with a confirmation link. Click the link, then your access to full text content in West Academic should be restored, and will open in a new tab.
